Country versions of one campaign – what changes

A campaign that looks the same in every country is rarely identical underneath. Between markets, these things usually change:

• Text: headlines, body copy, legal lines, prices and currencies, store addresses
• Formats: poster sizes, shelf strip heights, window sizes in local stores
• Retailer requirements: chain logos, mandatory symbols, specific materials
• Quantities: one country needs 300 stores' worth, another 40

Multilingual print production is about managing these differences without losing the campaign's look. We work from your master layouts and the texts you supply for each language. We do not write or translate copy; your agency or local teams provide the approved wording, and we set it.

DTP and preflight for language versions

Language versions break layouts. German headlines run longer than English ones, Finnish words do not hyphenate where you expect, Czech and Hungarian need correct diacritics in the font. Our in-house studio handles this in DTP:

1. We build each version from the master file and the text for that language.
2. We adjust line breaks, font sizes and text boxes within the rules of the master.
3. We check that the fonts contain every character of each language.
4. Every file goes through preflight: size, bleed, resolution, colour, cut lines.
5. Each version gets a code (country, format, version) that follows it to the packing list.

One print run, the same colour in every country

When each country prints locally, the brand red is five different reds. Producing every version in one plant removes that variable: the same machines, inks and materials print every language version, often in the same run. Large format is printed up to 3.2 m wide without joins on our UV printers, and fabric with LED UV inks for textiles or by dye-sublimation.

Approvals with local teams in their languages

Local marketing teams want to check their version before print. We make this easier because we handle all 14 languages of this site: a team in Prague or Milan can write to us in Czech or Italian and get answers in that language. Each team receives proofs of its own versions only, and approvals are recorded per version code.

This is customer service in the team's language, not translation or proofreading of your copy. Text corrections come from your side; we apply them and send a new proof. The Barkom Każany Lwów case study shows bilingual materials for a club playing in Polish venues.

Shipping parcels to every country

After printing, versions are packed per country, per store or per distribution centre, using the version codes; see packing and multi-address shipping. Our own vans drive across Europe every day; on dedicated transport Germany and Austria are usually reached the next working day, the UK and Barcelona in about 2 days, and Madrid in 2–3 days. Couriers and dedicated couriers cover other routes, and we ship worldwide.

Prices and how to get a quote

Send us the master files, the list of countries and versions, formats and quantities per country, and the delivery addresses or warehouses. We return indicative prices for DTP, print, packing and transport, and confirm prices before production; large campaigns are quoted individually. Standard production is about 3 working days after final approval of all versions, and large projects take up to about 14 days plus transport.
