A-boards with printed posters – double-sided A1 and B1 pavement signs from €70

Why an A-board still works

An A-board sits exactly where people decide whether to walk in: on the pavement outside a café, by the door of a salon, in a shopping arcade, next to a hotel reception or at the entrance to a car park. There is nothing to drill and no fascia to mount – you carry it out in the morning, fold it and bring it back inside at night.

A good pavement sign does one job: it stops a passer-by for two seconds and tells them what is inside. Today's lunch menu, a seasonal offer, opening hours, a new service, an arrow saying "entrance round the back" – that is the kind of message that works on an A-board.

We deliver every board with its print. The posters come off our own UV printers in Wieluń, so you can order a single sign for your shop or a series for a chain of locations – with one design or a different message for each address.

A1, B1 or a weighted base – which one to choose

A1 (59 × 84 cm) is the usual choice for cafés, bakeries, hairdressers and small shops. It is light enough to carry out and back every day, and an A1 poster has room for a menu, a daily price or one strong offer. The poster is finished with an anti-glare film, so it stays readable in bright sunshine.

B1 (70 × 100 cm) is noticeably bigger and easier to spot from across the road or from a passing car – a better fit for garages, car dealers, petrol stations, exhibition grounds and car park entrances.

Information boards (58 × 100 and 68 × 120 cm) have a taller, slimmer format that suits directions, timetables, price lists and event plans.

The weighted board with a base you fill with water or sand is the one for windy, exposed spots: open squares, seafronts, forecourts and busy roads. The filled base holds the frame down, so it stands more steadily than a classic A-frame on legs.

Snap frames – change the poster in a minute, no tools

Our double-sided A1 and B1 boards have snap frames. You flip the profiles open with your fingers, slide the old poster out, drop the new one in and snap the frame shut – no screwdriver, no call-out. A double-sided board takes two posters, one per side, so you can show the same message to people coming from both directions, or two different ones: lunch deals on one side, opening hours on the other.

The frame stays; the poster changes whenever your offer does – for the season, a new promotion or new prices. We print replacement posters in-house and ship them without the frame; send us the size and quantity and we will quote. More on prints on their own: posters and art prints.

Artwork that works on a pavement sign

People read an A-board on the move and from a few metres away, so the rules are different from a flyer:

  • one main message, readable from a distance – big type, few words;
  • strong contrast between background and text, no busy photos behind the copy;
  • logo and name at the top, the price or call to action in the middle;
  • keep a safe margin at the edges, because the frame covers the border of the poster.

No artwork yet? Our in-house design studio will lay out the poster from your logo and copy and send you a proof to approve before printing. If you supply your own files, we check them before production and tell you if anything needs fixing.

For agencies, chains and franchises

Advertising agencies order A-boards from us for their own clients. We ship in neutral packaging with no logo and no paperwork showing our details, straight to your client's address. Wholesale prices and online ordering are available once you log in to the B2B zone.

For retail chains, franchises and branch networks we produce a series of boards – one design for all, or a version for each location – and then reprint just the posters whenever the campaign changes.

What else to put outside the door

An A-board works best alongside other signage. Inside the shop or on a stand, add a roll-up or X-banner; on the façade, a permanent business sign or plaque; in open spaces, a flag or beach flag that can be seen from far away.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

How much does a printed A-board cost?

A double-sided A1 A-board (59 × 84 cm) with a printed poster starts at €70 net, a B1 board (70 × 100 cm) at €90 net, and a board with a water or sand-filled base at €140 net. These are indicative prices for a complete set; delivery abroad is added and everything is confirmed in your quote.

What is the difference between an A1 and a B1 A-board?

The poster size: A1 is 59 × 84 cm, B1 is 70 × 100 cm. A1 is lighter and fine outside a café or shop; B1 is easier to see from further away, for example from the road or a car park.

Can I change the poster myself?

Yes. The snap frame opens with your fingers, no tools needed. We print replacement posters separately, without a new frame, and quote them once we know the size and quantity.

Which A-board is best for a windy location?

The double-sided 70 × 100 cm board with a base you fill with water or sand. The weighted base keeps it steadier than a standard A-frame on legs, which makes it a good choice for open squares, forecourts and busy roads.

Can you design the poster for us?

Yes. Our design studio prepares the artwork from your logo and copy and sends a proof for approval before printing.
