Light box signage price: a worked example

A shop fascia light box 4.0 × 0.8 m is 3.2 m². At the single-sided rate: 3.2 × €320 = from approx. €1,024 net, including the aluminium profile, LED modules, power supply and printed face. The same size with a routed dibond face, where only the lettering lights up, starts at 3.2 × €390 = approx. €1,248 net.

What moves the price: depth of the box, special colours or metallic faces, outdoor mounting brackets, sign height above ground and access for installation. When the brand changes, you do not need a new box: a new face with backlit vinyl, fitted, costs from approx. €80 net per m². Prices for UK customers can be quoted in GBP on request.

How we build a light box

  • Aluminium profile frame, sized to your drawing
  • LED modules laid out for even light across the face, without hot spots at the edges
  • IP67-rated power supplies for outdoor boxes
  • Face options: opal acrylic printed directly with UV ink (approx. €48–70 net per m² as a ready face), self-adhesive backlit film (approx. €14–24 net per m²), backlit textile or a routed dibond face
  • Printing corrected for backlighting, so colours read correctly when the box is on at night and off during the day

Print, CNC routing, acrylic bending and assembly all take place in our plant in Wieluń, Poland, our head office since 1991. That is why custom light box signs in one-off sizes are our normal work rather than a special request.

Lead time and delivery

Standard light boxes take about 3 working days of production once the drawing is approved; larger orders and multi-site packages up to about 14 days plus transport. Tell us the date the sign has to be lit, and we plan production and transport to meet it.

Large boxes travel crated or on pallets in our own vans, which run across Europe; smaller ones go by courier or dedicated courier. We ship to the UK and Ireland, handle export paperwork with our forwarders, and will explain delivery terms to the UK when quoting. For Nordic and Benelux addresses, see our Nordics and Benelux supplier page.

Installation and service

Our crews install with a platform reaching 18 m; a two-person crew costs from approx. €42 net per hour. Across the EU our partner network and local firms in your country help with fitting. Night-time fitting in shopping centres is available. Later on we service what we built: an inspection of LEDs, power supply and seals from approx. €60 net. More on delivery and installation.

Light boxes for sign makers and agencies

Light box manufacturers in the UK often source frames and fabric light boxes from continental factories. You can buy the same way from us: supply-only, in neutral packaging, with fixing drawings for your own fitters. See white label printing and our wider range as a sign manufacturer, including built-up letters for fascias that combine a box and lettering.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What is a light box sign?

A sign with a translucent face lit from inside by LEDs, so the graphic stays visible after dark. The face is acrylic, film or fabric, and it can usually be replaced without changing the box.

How much does a light box sign cost?

Single-sided LED light boxes start at approx. €320 net per m², double-sided at approx. €410 net per m², and a projecting sign with bracket at approx. €300 net. Each sign is quoted from a drawing.

Do LED light boxes need planning permission?

In the UK and Ireland, illuminated signs often need consent from the local planning authority, especially in conservation areas. Check with your council; we supply drawings and lighting specifications for the application.

Can I change the graphic later?

Yes. Acrylic and film faces can be replaced from approx. €80 net per m² fitted, and SEG fabric light boxes take a new fabric print without removing the box.

Do you make light boxes for outdoor use?

Yes. Outdoor boxes use sealed aluminium profiles and IP67 power supplies. Indoor ultra-slim frames are 12–25 mm thick.

Do you deliver light boxes to the UK?

Yes, by our own vans or via forwarders, crated or on pallets. Ask us about delivery terms to the UK when you request a quote.
