Checklist: what has to be ready on opening day
A store opening rarely fails because of one big item. It fails because the door vinyl with opening hours is missing, or the light box arrives but nobody booked the electrician. Use this list to check the scope of your new store opening signage before you ask for a quote:
- Outside: fascia sign, light box or illuminated letters, projecting sign, opening hours and address on the door
- Windows: window graphics, frosted strips, one way vision on back-office glass, an opening campaign poster
- Interior: wall graphics, category signs, ceiling hangers, fitting-room and till signage, floor graphics
- POS: shelf strips, price holders, counter displays, promotional stands for the first weeks
- Opening day: roll-ups, flags or a promotional counter in front of the store, vouchers and flyers
Our guide on planning an opening campaign covers the marketing side. This page is about getting the physical items made and fitted on time.
A schedule counted back from the opening date
| Time before opening | Step | Who |
|---|---|---|
| 6–5 weeks | Site survey or measurements from your shopfitter, photos of the façade | You or our crew |
| 5–4 weeks | Production drawings, materials and colours approved | Our studio and you |
| 4–3 weeks | Permits for the fascia sign checked by the landlord or local authority | You |
| 3–1 weeks | Production in Wieluń, packing per zone of the store | Us |
| 1 week | Transport to the store address | Our vans or courier |
| 3–1 days | Installation outside and inside, final photos | Our crew or partner |
We start from the date the doors open and work backwards. The example below is for a single store of medium size with a light box, window vinyl and interior graphics. Large projects take up to about 14 days of production plus transport; standard items take about 3 working days.
- 01Brief
Description, sizes, site photos and deadline — a few sentences are enough.
- 02Design and quote
Our designers prepare artwork or a visualisation and you get a price.
- 03Approval
You approve the design; for brand colours we provide a proof.
- 04Production
35+ machines in our own plant in Poland: 3.2 m UV print, CNC, laser, 3D, sewing.
- 05Installation or delivery
Own crews and vehicles across Europe, partner network, couriers worldwide.
Survey, production drawings and approval
Good signage starts with correct measurements. If the store is close to one of our routes, our crew can measure it; otherwise we work from your shopfitter's drawings and photos, following the points in our guide on measuring the space for a sign. Our in-house studio then prepares production drawings: dimensions, fixings, power points for illuminated elements and the cutting files for vinyl.
You approve one document with every item listed. That approval is also the basis for the landlord or the shopping centre, which often has its own rules for fascia signs; see whether a sign needs permission. Light boxes come with a 24-month warranty.
Production in Wieluń and transport to the store
Our head office and main production plant are in Wieluń, Poland. Light boxes, letters, boards, vinyl and fabric are produced in the same plant, so the whole store kit is ready on one date and can travel together. We pack by zone (façade, windows, sales floor, back office) and label every box, which makes installation faster and checking easier.
Our own vans drive across Europe every day. On dedicated transport Germany and Austria are usually reached the next working day, the UK and Barcelona in about 2 days, and Madrid in 2–3 days. Smaller parcels go by courier.

- approx. 3 daysstandard lead time
- up to 14 dayslarge and custom projects with installation
Plus courier delivery. Tell us your date — we plan production around it.
Installation: our own crew or a partner, and travel costs
Installation is done by our own crews with a platform lift up to 18 m, or by partner companies we work with across the EU. For a fascia sign at height or a façade in a shopping street the lift matters; see installing signage at height.
Costs are transparent: an installation crew of two costs approx. €42 net per hour, and travel of our own crew is approx. €1 net per km, counted both ways from Wieluń. A lift with operator is from approx. €230 net per day. Electrical connection of illuminated signs is usually done by the store's electrician on site; tell us who will do it and we plan the handover. Details are on installation in Poland and Europe.
The same package for the next openings
Once the first store is open, the production files, materials and fixings are documented. For the second and third store we adapt sizes to the new façade and repeat the rest, which shortens design time and keeps the look identical. Write to us in your language and we reply in it; we handle all 14 languages of this site.
If you are opening many stores at once rather than one at a time, see our page on retail rollout across Europe. For franchise networks, a fixed set of variants is described under franchise signage.
