How to order signage and print – what to put in your enquiry to get a quote

Eight things your enquiry should include

A good share of the enquiries we receive read: 'How much is a banner?'. The honest answer is always the same – it depends. On the size, the material, the quantity, and whether the banner just needs printing or hanging as well. Before we can give a figure we have to ask about several things, and every email exchange costs more hours. It is quicker to give everything at once:

  1. What it is. A banner, scaffold mesh, a light box, letters, window stickers, a roller banner. If you do not know the trade term, describe the effect: 'lettering on the facade that lights up in the evening'.
  2. Size. Width × height in centimetres. For signage on a building – the size of the space, not 'roughly'.
  3. Quantity. One piece or twenty. For print priced per m², the rate depends on the total area: 510 g coated banner costs approx. €13 net/m² at 1–4 m², but approx. €8 net/m² at 16–49 m².
  4. Where and for how long. Indoors or outdoors, for a weekend fair or three years. That decides the choice of material.
  5. What it will hang on. A mesh fence, a wall, glass, scaffolding, a frame. That decides the finishing: eyelets, pole pockets, tape, stand-offs.
  6. Installation. Will you install it yourself or do you need a crew? If a crew – give the address and the approximate height.
  7. Deadline. A specific date by which it must be ready or installed. 'As soon as possible' does not tell us much.
  8. File, or no file. A print-ready design, just a logo, or starting from scratch.

Size, surface and a photo – where data is most often missing

Most corrections to quotes come from dimensions. Someone asks for 'a 3 by 1 banner', and after measuring it turns out the space on the fence is 2.85 m because there are posts at the sides. Measure the place where the sign will actually go, and say whether you are giving the size of the finished product or of the space. For signs and light boxes this matters, because the structure and fixings have to be allowed for – we cover it in our guide how to measure up for a shop sign.

With every enquiry about signage on a building, a shop window or a fence, attach a photo. An ordinary phone photo, taken straight on and with a bit of the surroundings. From a photo we can see at once whether a lift can get in, what the wall is made of, and whether the glazing has frames that will eat into the size. One photo often replaces several emails.

The second common gap is the surface. Film for glass and film for car paintwork are two different materials. A sign for a fence and a sign for an insulated facade are two different fixing methods. Just tell us what it is going on – leave the choice of material to us, but give us a starting point.

To the enquiry in the right-hand column we reply with a concrete figure: two banners of 3 m² each, 6 m² in total, 510 g coated banner in the 5–15 m² band at approx. €9 net/m², so approx. €54 net for both. Welded hems and eyelets every 50 cm are included. To the left-hand enquiry we can only reply with five questions.

How we workFrom idea to installation — 5 steps
  1. 01Brief

Description, sizes, site photos and deadline — a few sentences are enough.

  2. 02Design and quote

Our designers prepare artwork or a visualisation and you get a price.

  3. 03Approval

You approve the design; for brand colours we provide a proof.

No file? Say so in your first email

Not having a finished design is no problem – our in-house studio handles design and file preparation. A simple banner or sign design with two rounds of changes costs approx. €43 net; more complex designs are charged at studio time, approx. €35 net per hour. How it works in practice is described in our guide can you design it for us.

But say so straight away, because design affects the timing and the price. And send what you have: the logo (ideally as a vector – we explain why in our guide on vector logos), the text, the phone number that should appear, product photos. A logo downloaded from Facebook or a website is usually a few hundred pixels wide and will come out blurred on a three-metre banner.

If you have a finished file, we check it anyway. The technical check is included in the order price and done before every production run: scale, bleed, resolution, colours. If something is wrong, we tell you before printing, not after.

Lead timesHow long it takes
  • 24 h
express printing (UV inks need no drying)
  • approx. 3 days
    standard lead time
  • up to 14 days

Plus courier delivery. Tell us your date — we plan production around it.

What happens after you send your enquiry

  1. Quote. We reply with a net price and the proposed material. If anything is missing we ask – usually about the size or the installation method.
  2. Approval and file. After approval you send the file or commission the design. With a design you receive a proof for sign-off.
  3. File check. We check the file technically. Production starts once you approve the proof.
  4. Production. Normally approx. 3 working days, 24 hours in express mode. Large projects, e.g. illuminated signage with installation, up to approx. 14 days.
  5. Collection, delivery or installation. Collection in Wieluń, delivery by courier or with our own vans across the EU and to the UK, or installation by our crew or partner installers.

The simplest route to a quote is an email with complete information, or a call on +48 455 455 460 (office hours Mon–Fri 8:00–16:00 CET; we speak English). Indicative prices for simple print are in our product catalogue. For light boxes and 3D letters, the size and version are enough for us to give an initial price.

Questions and answers

Other questions we often get

Do I need to know the material name to ask for a quote?

No. Just describe where the sign will go and for how long. We choose the material ourselves and say in the quote what we propose and why. If you have a preference, e.g. a specific banner weight, we will take it into account.

What does the smallest order cost?

The minimum order value is approx. €24 net. For very small orders, such as one sticker or one poster, the price is rounded up to this amount, so it sometimes pays to add a second item you were planning anyway.

When is a site survey needed?

For light boxes, 3D letters, large glazing graphics and facade signage. A survey and site inventory costs from approx. €85 net, refunded when you order production. For banners and simple signs your own tape measure and a photo are usually enough.

Should I tell you my budget?

Yes, it helps a lot. With a known budget we can suggest a cheaper material, a smaller format or a different construction straight away, instead of quoting a version that will be ruled out anyway. Better to know from the start that there is €350 net for a sign than to quote a light box costing a few thousand.

Can I ask about several things in one email?

Yes, and it often works out cheaper. For print priced per m², the rate is set by the total area, and with installation you pay for one crew visit instead of several. List the items as bullet points, each with its size and quantity.
