A beauty store lives on promotions. A new leaflet every two or three weeks, a different cosmetics brand campaign every month, plus Christmas, International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day and Black Friday. The shelves hold thousands of small products, and the customer has a few seconds to notice the one on offer. That is why the hardest-working items in a beauty store are at the shelf and the till: wobblers, shelf stoppers, displays, price strips, cheap and changed often and in large numbers.
A perfumery is a different world. Less stock, more light, glass, mirrors and fragrance. Graphics should look like a fashion campaign, and materials need careful finishing; cheap card spoils the impression at once. Customers often buy gifts, so the bag, the gift wrap and the voucher are part of the product. Chains and franchises add what we know from other retail chains: many stores, different dimensions, one campaign start date.
1. Building front and window
A beauty store in a shopping centre or on a high street fights for attention with its neighbours. The sign has to be recognisable, and the window shouldn’t be covered completely. Shoppers want to see the interior, the shelves and the light. We keep full graphics for narrow glazed panels and doors.
- Logo light box above the entrance→Single-sided light box from approx. €320 net per m². In a shopping centre to the management’s guidelines, on the street with visibility after dark in mind.
- Brand campaigns on the glass→Campaign graphics on film that comes off without residue after a few weeks. Printed monomeric vinyl approx. €6–12 net per m², one-way vision approx. €10–18 net per m².

2. Sales floor and shelves
In a beauty store the decision is made at the shelf. An item that sticks out of the shelving or stands at the end of an aisle sells more than a poster on the wall. At the till the customer waits for half a minute or so, the best spot for small products and new lines. Everything has to be easy for staff to change, without tools.
- LED lightboxes with changeable graphics→Slim frames on the wall or above the shelving. A1 from approx. €165 net, 100 × 200 cm from approx. €440. A new campaign means a new fabric; the frame stays.
- Shelf displays for new products and offers→Printed card or HIPS, placed on the shelf next to the product. UV-printed card approx. €13–21 net per m², worthwhile for short promotions.
- Till-point displays→For lipsticks, cotton pads, samples, travel sizes. Printed acrylic for permanent use or card for a single campaign. We bend acrylic in-house.
- Wobblers and shelf stoppers→‘-40%’, ‘new’, ‘3 for 2’. Shape-cut from HIPS and clipped to the shelf edge. Order a generic series once and separate ones for specific promotions.
- Price strips and shelf-edge strips→Strips in the chain or brand colours, on synthetic paper at approx. €10–16 net per m²; they don’t curl and can be wiped clean.
- Security gate wraps→Gates stand right at the entrance and are usually grey. A campaign wrap in repositionable film or stretch fabric is changed along with the other graphics.
3. Perfumery and gifts
In a perfumery customers often buy for someone else. An elegant bag, gift wrapping on the spot and a voucher for the undecided raise the basket value. For bags and vouchers consider a finish such as foil blocking or spot varnish, which we price individually.
- Branded paper bags→Kraft bag 240 × 340 × 90 mm with print, 100 pcs approx. €185 net, 500 pcs approx. €580 net. For perfumeries we also recommend a version with a special finish.
- Branded gift wrapping paper→In December and before Mother’s Day, wrapping at the till is a service customers come back for. A discreet pattern in the perfumery colours.
- Vouchers and gift cards→Numbered, in an envelope or wallet, with a set amount or space to write one in. They sell well at the till in the gift season.

4. Chains and franchises
A beauty store campaign starts on the same day in every store. The problem is logistics: different window sizes, a different number of lightboxes and gates, a manager with no time to dig for the right graphic in a parcel. So we prepare a list of items for each store, print to one colour master and pack separately, with a description. We can also store spare graphics for you.
- Promotional leaflet for the chain→A4 leaflet, 8 pages, 1,000 copies approx. €280 net. For many stores we split the run into parcels for each outlet.
- Campaign kits packed per store→Lightbox graphics, wobblers, displays, gate wraps and film in one parcel with a packing list. Storage of spare stock approx. €26 net per pallet per month.
- Installation at night or before opening→The crew changes the graphics after the shopping centre closes, and in the morning the store opens with the new campaign. Night installation from approx. €65 net per hour.
- Lightbox graphic changes across the chain→Fabrics printed in one batch, so the product colour in the photo is the same in every store. On request we make a proof before printing the full run.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Product photos in a lightbox must have accurate colour. For the first campaign order a proof: the shade of a lipstick or foundation in print is something customers do ask about.
- Order wobblers and displays in one fixed size for all campaigns. Staff change them faster, and you don’t pay for new cutting dies.
- Don’t cover the whole window with brand graphics. A beauty store should look bright and open; a covered window turns it into a warehouse.
- In a perfumery, don’t economise on the bag. It leaves the shop and ends up on the table next to the gift; a cheap plastic carrier spoils the whole effect.
- For a chain, have every store surveyed once, at the start. After that, each campaign is just printing and packing from a ready list.
