A wedding venue sells on photos. Couples scroll Instagram and photographers’ galleries and pick the place where ‘everything looks lovely’. A neon above the top table, a photo backdrop for guests, a nicely printed table plan: these appear in hundreds of photos from every wedding and keep working for you for years. Better that they are yours than hired separately by each couple.
The other side is selling dates. Couples view several venues in one weekend and compare. The one that wins hands over a smart presentation folder at the viewing, has a clear sign visible from the road and turns up at wedding fairs. We cover stand preparation in our guide to [getting ready for a trade fair](/poradnik/przygotowanie-do-targow-lista). Then there is acoustics: with a hundred guests and a band, echo wears people out, and [printed acoustic panels](/produkty/panele-akustyczne-z-nadrukiem) fix that without building work.
1. Outside: sign and approach
Many venues sit outside town, on a main road or in a village. Guests from far away are driving there for the first time, often in the evening after the ceremony. The venue name has to be visible after dark, and an arrow to the car park at the entrance helps.
- Illuminated venue name→Illuminated letters on the façade can be seen from the road and look good in evening photos. From approx. €46 net per character at 30 cm high.
- ‘Dates available’ banner on the fence→The cheapest advert for passing traffic. On an open fence, a block-out banner with a black back, approx. €9–16 net per m².

2. The room: decor that stays
Instead of hiring decorations from outside suppliers every Saturday, it pays to own a few pieces and include them in the package. The couple get a finished look, and you get a consistent style in every photo. Neon and freestanding letters are the most photographed things at a wedding.
- LED neon above the top table→Something like ‘Mr & Mrs’ or the venue name. A neon on a backing board up to 100 × 60 cm from approx. €350 net, an animated RGB version from approx. €440 net.
- Freestanding LOVE letters or initials→Coated Styrodur letters from approx. €13 net per character. Light enough for one person to move, they stand on the dance floor or by the entrance.
- Photo backdrop for guests→A floral background, the venue name or a neutral pattern. A 240 × 230 cm banner backdrop from approx. €210 net, and the graphic can be changed for another season.
- Wall graphics and lettering→Vinyl lettering above the bar, a quote by the entrance, a decorative pattern in the corridor. A refresh without repainting.
- Printed acoustic panels→They cut echo during live music, and the print can look like a painting or a decorative fabric.
3. Table plan, menus, place cards
Every guest stops at the table plan. Printed on a mirror or acrylic it looks elegant, and couples often take it home afterwards. You can keep your own frame and print a new panel every week, or sell the plan as a package extra.
- Table plan on a mirror or glass→UV print directly onto your mirror, with a white underlay. Approx. €24–34 net per m².
- Table plan on acrylic or PVC→Printed clear acrylic is approx. €43–60 net per m²; lighter PVC comes out cheaper. It stands on an easel by the entrance.
- Place cards, menus and invitations for couples→Personalised with names from the guest list. You can offer them to couples as part of the venue package.
- Signs for toilets, cloakroom and kids’ corner→Signs in the style of the venue, not sheets of paper stuck up with tape. Guests in their best clothes don’t want to wander round the back corridors.

4. Selling dates and wedding fairs
At a wedding fair you talk to hundreds of couples in a day. The stand has to be visible from a distance, and what couples take home has to look better than the competition’s leaflet. After the fair the same roll-up banners stand in your lobby for viewings.
- Wedding fair stand→A 300 × 230 cm pop-up fabric wall from approx. €400 net plus a promotional counter from approx. €210 net. It all fits in an ordinary car.
- Roll-up banners with photos of the venue→The room dressed for a wedding, menus, packages. An 85 × 200 cm roll-up banner from approx. €55 net.
- Presentation folder for couples→Put your menu, price list and contract inside. 100 A4 presentation folders with matt lamination cost approx. €135 net.
- Tasting vouchers and fair discounts→Couples take a voucher from the fair and come back with it for a tasting. It makes it easy to see what the stand earned.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Order neon in warm white or pink. Cold blue looks bad on skin and on the dress in photos.
- Put the photo backdrop where the light is good and there’s room for several people. Nobody takes a group shot in a narrow corridor.
- Order table plans from a guest list in Excel, checked by the couple. Misspelt surnames are the most common correction.
- Order for wedding fairs at least a week ahead. Two days before a fair, half the trade wants the same thing.
- On a roadside banner, make the phone number big. A driver won’t read more than the name and the number.
