Campsite and holiday park guests often arrive in the evening, tired, with a car full of luggage and children. They have to find you from the road, find reception and then their chalet or pitch, in the dark, among trees, on a site where every path looks the same. Good signage means fewer calls to reception and better reviews online.
Everything stands outdoors all year, or at least all season: sun, rain, damp off the lake, frost. So we make site boards from aluminium composite panel (Dibond) with UV print, and chalet numbers as cut-out 3D numerals or plaques that won’t fade after two years. Seasonal material such as banners, flags and price leaflets gets replaced every year. Parks that use grant funding for upgrades also need a [project funding sign](/produkty/tablice-unijne-i-dotacyjne) that follows the programme’s guidelines.
1. Road and entrance
The last few kilometres are often a dirt or forest track where sat-nav gets lost. A sign or totem at the entrance and a few arrows at junctions save the guest some stress and save you phone calls. For signs beside a public road, ask the highway authority first.
- Name sign at the entrance→Dibond on a galvanised frame, readable from a car. A 200 × 100 cm board from approx. €165 net, excluding ground fixing.
- Totem sign by the park gate→Taller and more impressive than a board, visible above the hedges. A 2.5 m totem from approx. €750 net.
- Arrows along the access road→Small signs with your name and an arrow at the last junctions, especially where the tarmac turns into a forest track.
- ‘Vacancies’ banner on the fence→In season it catches people travelling without a booking. On a see-through mesh fence, a block-out banner with a black back works better.

2. Reception and site map
At reception guests get their key and ask: where’s my chalet, where are the showers, where’s the beach. A large site map at reception and a handheld map answer those questions for you. The reception board is also the place for quiet hours and the park rules.
- Site map with chalet and pitch numbers→A plan with ‘you are here’, toilet blocks, beach, playground and car park. Dibond on a frame, rainproof.
- Park and bathing area rules→The park writes the wording to suit the rules for its type of site. We print it on Dibond, approx. €35–55 net per m².
- Folded leaflet with map, prices and local attractions→Guests take it to the chalet and then home. 1,000 DL folded leaflets cost approx. €90 net.
3. The site: paths, chalets, toilet blocks
On a big site every path looks alike, especially after dark. Direction signs at path junctions, numbers clearly visible from the access track and unmistakable toilet block signs are the basics. Always put chalet numbers in the same place, for example by the door on the path side.
- Direction signs at path junctions→Arrows to reception, the beach, toilet blocks, playground and car park. One colour and one typeface across the whole park.
- Chalet and pitch numbers→30 cm cut-out 3D numerals from approx. €16 net per character, or Dibond plaques. What matters is that they are visible from a car.
- Signs for toilet blocks, laundry, shared kitchen→Pictograms and wording in several languages if you take guests from abroad. Acrylic or Dibond on stand-off fixings.
- Wall murals in chalets and the clubhouse→Forest, lake or mountains on one chalet wall, and the interior photo on the booking site looks better straight away. Non-woven wall mural from approx. €15 net per m².

4. Beach, season and entertainment
In summer the park comes alive: beach, sports pitch, evening events, kids’ club. Flags on poles by reception and the beach, branded parasols at the bar and T-shirts for the entertainment team turn a collection of chalets into a place with character.
- Pole flags and beach flags→A logo flag on a pole at the entrance, beach flags by the beach and bar. A 150 × 90 cm hemmed flag from approx. €45 net, a Winder Midi beach flag from approx. €75 net.
- Branded parasols, sunloungers and windbreaks→At the bar, the pool and on the beach. A printed 3 × 3 m parasol from approx. €400 net.
- Guest wristbands and staff ID badges→A wristband in the colour of the booking week makes it easy to check access to the beach and pool. At kids’ camps, ID badges for group leaders and entertainers.
- T-shirts for entertainers and staff→Children know straight away who to look for. An A4 print on 50–99 shirts is approx. €2.35 net per piece.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Walk the site in the evening with a torch. A number you can’t see in the car headlights is a number in the wrong place.
- Mount the site map so it is oriented to the ground: the top of the map facing the way the reader is looking. Otherwise people set off in the wrong direction.
- Order in winter. In April and May every holiday park wants the same thing before the first bank holiday weekend.
- Keep prices and opening times on a separate board from the rules and the map. They change every season.
- If you take guests from abroad, add pictograms and a second language at least on the toilet blocks and the rules.
