The women’s association and the village council are usually the same people running the same events: harvest festival, Christmas market, family fête, regional food show. At these events there are a dozen stalls, all with the same white gazebo and oilcloth on the table. An association with its own named gazebo, a tablecloth and nicely labelled jars immediately looks more serious, and sells better.
The money comes from different places. A registered association can buy in its own name and get its own invoice. Purchases from the village fund go through the municipality, so we invoice the municipality as it instructs. Projects funded by a LEADER local action group or other programmes have their own rules for labelling purchases; send us the relevant extract of the agreement and we will prepare material to match. We also do the design, so the association’s name, the municipal coat of arms or a photo of the village is enough to start.
1. Stall for harvest festivals and markets
The association’s stall should be visible from a distance and recognisable a year later. One colour, the association name, the village name: that is enough. It all folds into a car boot and lasts several seasons if you leave the dates off.
- Printed association gazebo→3 × 3 m with full print from approx. €750 net. Many associations buy one with a grant or competition prize money, and it lasts for years.
- Tablecloth with the association name→Hemmed fabric with dye-sublimation print. A 150 × 250 cm tablecloth is about 3.75 m²; with hemming it comes to approx. €125 net. Washes like an ordinary tablecloth.
- Roll-up banner at the stall→An 85 × 200 cm roll-up banner from approx. €55 net. Photos of members, the association’s history, prizes from cookery contests.
- Name banner→3 × 1 m for the gazebo front or a barrier: 3 m² × approx. €11 = approx. €35 net. Without a date, so it works for every event.

2. Produce, preserves and sales
The label on the jar is the most often overlooked thing, yet it is what makes the association’s jam look like a product rather than something from the cellar. Food labelling rules apply when selling food; you supply the ingredients and producer details, we take care of the print and the look.
- Labels for preserves and fruit liqueurs→Labels on a roll or on sheets, with space to write the date by hand. Small runs are perfectly possible.
- Cotton tote bags with the association logo→100 bags with a one-colour print from approx. €210 net. Sell them with baked goods or give them to guests.
- Association recipe book→An A5 hardback, 164 pages, 100 copies, approx. €700 net. A thinner stapled booklet costs considerably less. Sells well at markets.
3. Outfits and performances
Folk costume is a separate subject, but for fêtes, workshops and trips members like to wear matching T-shirts or aprons with the association name. It looks good in photos and in the local paper.
- T-shirts with the association name→An A4 transfer print is approx. €3.30 net per shirt for 20–49 pieces. For a bigger group with families, from 50 pieces approx. €2.35 net.
- Hoodies for trips and workshops→A transfer print on a hoodie is approx. €4 net each for 20 pieces or more. A warm hoodie with the association name is more use than a T-shirt at a September harvest festival.

4. The village and its public spaces
The village fund often goes on a welcome sign, a noticeboard or a village map. Beside a road the location has to be agreed with the highway authority, and on private land with the owner; the municipality helps with this. We supply a visualisation and dimensions.
- Village welcome sign→A simple welcome sign is a 200 × 100 cm Dibond board on a galvanised frame from approx. €165 net. A 2.5 m totem version from approx. €750 net.
- Information board with village map→A map with house numbers, the village hall, playground and the village head’s phone number. Dibond with UV print, approx. €35–55 net per m².
- Funding sign→When the village hall, playground or equipment came from a LEADER project or another programme. Design according to the agreement.
5. Fête and village meeting
A village fête is made from almost nothing: a few benches, a trailer for a stage, a barbecue. A few colourful touches change the atmosphere more than expensive attractions.
- Garlands and bunting→With the municipal coat of arms, the village name or in the association’s colours. Strung over the fête ground they set the mood. Priced by length and design.
- Stage banner→6 × 3 m is 18 m², approx. €8 net per m² at that size: approx. €145 net in total. Village and fête name, sponsor logos.
- Posters for the meeting and the fête→10 A2 posters approx. €28 net, for noticeboards, the shop and the bus stop.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Don’t put the year or the name of a particular event on banners and tablecloths. Then one kit covers the harvest festival, the Christmas market and the fête.
- Order labels with a blank field for the date and flavour. One design then covers several kinds of preserves.
- If you are buying from the village fund, agree with the municipality first who the invoice goes to and whether a request for quotation is needed.
- Store the gazebo dry. Folded up wet after a rainy fête, it gets mould long before any print has time to fade.
- Send the association logo in the best quality you have; even a photo of the rubber stamp will do. We will redraw it as a vector.
