Which gazebo size for what
| Size | What it works for | From |
|---|---|---|
| 3 × 3 m | stand at a fete, market or sports event; information point; tastings; 1–2 staff | approx. €750 |
| 3 × 4.5 m | counter + product display, sponsor zone, first aid point or race office, 2–4 staff | approx. €1,030 |
| Other sizes (e.g. 2 × 2, 3 × 6 m) | small stations or large VIP areas, catering | quoted from a description |
3 × 3 m is by far the most popular format. It fits the allocated pitches at most outdoor events, is easy to put up and transports in a large estate car or van. Before ordering a bigger one, check what pitches the organisers of your events allocate: the grid is often 3 m, and a 3 × 4.5 m gazebo simply will not fit.
What is in the set and what to add
Our set is an aluminium scissor frame, a printed canopy and two printed side walls. With that set, the gazebo is open at the front and on one side or the back, depending on where you hang the walls.
What clients usually add:
- extra walls: a full back wall, a half wall with a counter at the front, a wall with a door,
- leg weights: at events on tarmac or paving, a safety basic, not an extra,
- pegs and guy ropes: for grass,
- wheeled carry bag: the frame is heavy, and carrying it across a showground without wheels soon gets tiresome.
We quote extras together with the gazebo, as they depend on the size and chosen equipment. Feather flags at the entrance and a printed tablecloth for the table go well with the set.

How to plan the print
A gazebo is seen from three distances: from afar (only the canopy shows), from a dozen or so metres (canopy and walls) and up close (walls and whatever is on the table). The artwork has to work at each.
- Canopy valances: logo and name. The strip of fabric hanging from the edge of the canopy is the most visible spot in a crowd. Logo on every side, ideally in the same version.
- Canopy slopes: brand colour and a big mark. There is no point putting text on the roof, but colour and a big mark are visible from windows, from a rise or from a drone.
- Walls: the message. This is the place for a slogan, a product photo, a web address. The lower part of the walls will be hidden by the counter and people, so put the important things above about 1 m.
- Contrast with the surroundings. At outdoor events there are plenty of white gazebos. A coloured canopy stands out more than the best graphic on a white background.
We provide a template with the dimensions of each part of the gazebo, so the designer knows straight away where the seams and folds are. If you do not have a designer, our studio will do the design.
Full print or just a logo
A question we hear with almost every gazebo. The answer depends on how often the gazebo will be used.
Full print: the whole canopy and walls in colour with graphics. It looks best and stands out most. It is the standard in our price list and what we recommend to companies attending several events a season.
Plain gazebo with a logo: cheaper, but it disappears among similar gazebos and differs little from what you can buy at a DIY store. It makes sense if the gazebo is mainly a shelter and other displays do the advertising: a wall, roll-ups, flags.
One more thing: the cover can be replaced later without buying a new frame. A new printed cover for a 3 × 3 m gazebo costs from approx. €400 net, for 3 × 4.5 m from approx. €550 net. A good option after a rebrand or when the old cover has faded after a few seasons.

Gazebo or parasol
For beer gardens, ice cream stands or small sales points, a printed 3 × 3 m promotional parasol works instead of a gazebo, from approx. €400 net. It is cheaper, faster to put up and hides the goods less. But it has no side walls, so it does not protect against sideways rain or wind and has no surface for messages apart from the canopy.
For an event stand where you serve people all day and have equipment, choose a gazebo. For a permanent terrace outside premises, parasols are the better bet.
Wind: what to remember at an event
A pop-up gazebo has a large surface and is light, so in a gust it acts like a sail. Most damage clients come back to us with is bent legs and scissor bars after the gazebo has lifted in the wind.
- Every leg weighted or pegged with a guy rope, even in fine weather in the morning.
- Walls on the windward side zipped to the frame; an open side facing the wind works like a parachute.
- When strong gusts are forecast, the gazebo is folded, not weighed down with whatever is to hand.
- At large events the organiser often requires specific weights: check the rules beforehand, not on site.
