Where floor graphics make sense
| Location | What goes down | Practical notes |
|---|---|---|
| Shop, supermarket, pharmacy | Arrows to promotions, brand logo by the shelf, spacing markers at the till | Works best right in front of the shelf, in the eyeline of a customer bending for a product |
| Shopping centre | Paths to the store, campaign graphics | Usually fitted after the centre closes, at the night rate |
| Trade shows and events | Logo on the stand, zone markings, directional signs | Short display: a simple shape is enough, easy removal matters |
| Sports hall, parquet | Sponsor logos, club logo in the centre circle | Check with the venue manager whether stickers are allowed on the surface |
| Office, reception, hotel | Logo at the entrance, directional markings | Will not stick to carpet: a printed mat is better there |
| Healthcare settings, public offices | Guide lines, desk numbers | Simple shapes, contrasting colours, legible from standing height |
For pitches and sports halls we have a separate offer: stickers for parquet and pitches. For retail chains we prepare complete campaign kits split by store.
Which floors yes, and which no
Suitable:
- ceramic and porcelain tiles (smooth, not textured);
- laminate flooring and lacquered parquet;
- lino, PVC and vinyl flooring;
- terrazzo, resin floors, smooth and clean industrial floors;
- sports parquet, by agreement with the venue manager.
Not suitable, or needing another solution:
- carpet: vinyl does not stick; instead we recommend Carpet floor graphics, i.e. printed mats;
- deeply textured tiles with wide grout lines: the vinyl sinks into the joints and wears there;
- raw concrete, paving, outdoor surfaces: standard floor vinyl is intended for indoor use;
- forklift and pallet truck routes: wheels wear the graphic away very quickly;
- freshly waxed or sealed floors: the adhesive will not grip until the wax layer is removed.
If you are unsure, send us a close-up photo of the floor. For larger jobs it is worth doing a test: a piece of laminated vinyl left in the intended spot for a few days.

What it costs: prices and an example
Floor vinyl with R10 anti-slip laminate costs:
- approx. €30 net/m² for 1–4 m²,
- approx. €25 for 5–15 m²,
- approx. €22 for 16–49 m²,
- approx. €20 for 50–99 m²,
- approx. €19/m² above 100 m².
Laminate is included. Contour cutting (arrows, circles, logos) is approx. €1.40 net per metre of cut line.
Example: 20 round logo stickers, ⌀ 50 cm, for a retail chain. Area including margins: 20 × approx. 0.27 m² ≈ 5.4 m² × approx. €25 = approx. €135. Cutting: circumference 1.57 m × 20 = approx. 31 lm × €1.40 = approx. €43. Total approx. €180 net. If the stickers go to different stores, we add kitting and dispatch at approx. €2.80 net per location.
Installation in a shop or office is done by a two-person crew (approx. €42 net per hour), and in a shopping centre after closing, approx. €65 per hour. Single stickers are usually applied by clients themselves.
How to apply a floor sticker so it stays down
- Clean the floor the day before or a few hours before fitting, without polish or wax. The surface must be dry.
- Degrease the spot with isopropyl alcohol.
- Mark the position: outline the edges with masking tape, and check the direction of arrows twice.
- Apply dry, not wet. Water under floor laminate takes a long time to evaporate, and the sticker "floats" underfoot.
- Peel the backing gradually, pressing with a squeegee from the centre outwards.
- Press the edges especially firmly: that is where lifting starts when a shoe or trolley catches it.
- Wait at least a day before machine cleaning.
General rules for working with vinyl are also in how to apply vinyl without bubbles.
- 24 hexpress printing (UV inks need no drying)
- approx. 3 daysstandard lead time

Durability and removal
A floor sticker is a medium for a campaign, promotion or season, not a floor finish for years. How long it lasts depends on how many people walk over it, whether trolleys are used, and how often and with what the floor is cleaned. In a quiet office corridor the graphic looks good for a long time; at a supermarket entrance wear shows much sooner. If the graphic is to stay longer, plan to replace it with the next campaign.
What to watch when cleaning:
- scrubber dryers with hard brushes wear the laminate: use a soft pad over the sticker;
- aggressive chemicals and solvents weaken the adhesive at the edges;
- plain water with a mild detergent works best.
Removal is simple: lift an edge and peel the vinyl off at a low angle. On parquet and delicate surfaces, gentle warming with a hairdryer helps. Wipe off adhesive residue with alcohol; on lacquered wood, test on a hidden spot first.
