What hall branding includes – zone by zone
When someone calls about 'branding the hall', we start by walking through the venue zone by zone. Not everything is needed at once, but it helps to see the whole picture so colours and style stay consistent.
- Entrance and foyer – the venue name in 3D letters, a floor plan board, a case or frame for match posters, signs for the ticket desk and spectator cloakroom.
- Corridors and changing rooms – door signs (home, away, referees, storage), numbering, directional signs, motivational graphics on changing room walls.
- Court – the club logo in the centre circle or by the lines, sponsor logos by the benches.
- Walls around the court – a wallpaper mural or a large graphic behind the basket, sponsor banners on barriers and on the stand balustrade.
- Stand – banners on the balustrade, sector markings, and printed acoustic panels if the hall echoes.
- Players' entrance – a tunnel or a sponsor backdrop for interviews.
Listing it like this lets you split the work into stages if the budget does not stretch to everything at once.
Graphics on the court floor – how to keep them out of the game's way
Logos on a sports floor are made from floor vinyl with an R10 anti-slip laminate. It costs approx. €19–30 net per m² (the larger the area, the cheaper), and contour cutting to the logo shape approx. €1.20 net per metre of cut line. Example: a logo in a 3 m circle is approx. 7 m², i.e. 7 × €25 plus approx. 9.5 m of cutting around the edge – approx. €185 net in total.
Three things to remember:
- The vinyl bonds to the floor lacquer. Before you order, ask the venue manager or the company that sealed the floor whether the lacquer is fresh and how it copes with self-adhesive graphics. On a newly sealed floor you have to wait.
- For league competitions, check your governing body's rules on what may appear on the playing area and how far from the lines. Those are the league's requirements, not ours – we will adapt the size.
- The vinyl colour must not blend with the court lines. A logo in the same colour as the basketball lines is asking for trouble with the referees.
More on floor vinyl itself in our guide floor graphics – anti-slip and durability; product details are on the sports floor and court graphics page.

Walls, stands and acoustics
Bare painted walls are the largest space to work with. Most often we install a wallpaper mural on the wall behind the basket or goal, or by the entrance – a team photo, the crest, the club's history. Non-woven wallpaper carries fire classification B-s1,d0 and has no smell, so it can be hung in a venue that is in use without airing. It costs approx. €15–25 net per m²; a 10 × 3 m wall (30 m²) is approx. 30 × €18 = approx. €540 net.
Where a wall takes a lot of ball strikes, a banner on a frame is better than wallpaper – a banner can be taken down and replaced, wallpaper cannot. On the stand balustrade we fit 510 g coated banners sized to the bays.
A common problem in new and old halls alike is reverberation. Printed acoustic panels (fabric with UV print, approx. €19–30 net per m²) do two jobs: they absorb sound and carry graphics. Where the venue has fire safety requirements, we provide material certificates on request, and final approval comes from the venue manager or their fire safety assessor.

How to plan it, step by step
- Walk the hall with your phone – photograph every wall, door and section of floor, with a tape measure in shot or the dimensions noted.
- Set priorities – what has to be ready for the start of the season (usually the court and sponsor banners) and what can wait (changing rooms, foyer).
- Collect the logos of the club and sponsors as vectors. A missing vector is the most common cause of delays.
- Design the whole scheme – our studio does it, with a visualisation, so the club or council board sees the result before anything is printed.
- Book the installation date – floor and wall graphics go on when the hall is empty. The summer break or a weekend without sessions is the best time.
- Installation and handover – after floor installation we recommend keeping sports shoes off the graphic for a few hours.
If the hall belongs to the local council and the branding is paid for by the club or a sponsor, put the arrangements in writing – who owns the graphics and what happens to them if the tenant changes. The full range of what we make for venues and clubs is on our sports clubs page.
