A sports shop changes its face several times a year. Skis, sledges and thermals in winter, cycling and running in spring, swimming and hiking in summer, back to school and PE kit in September, then winter again. Every change of season means rearranging the floor and new graphics, which is why the systems that work best in sports shops are those where the frame stays and only the print changes. Swapping the fabric in an SEG frame takes a few minutes, and the shop looks freshly refitted.
The second thing shops often forget: local clubs, schools and amateur teams. They buy kit, balls and footwear and then need logos, numbers and names on them. A shop that handles all of that in one place has a customer for years. We can be your production back office: we print, you sell under your own name.
1. Building front and window
A sports shop window should say straight away which season it is. A runner in March, a skier in November. The logo and opening hours stay permanently; the large graphic on the glass or in a frame behind it changes with the season.
- Illuminated letters with the shop name→Front-lit letters from approx. €46 net per character at 30 cm high. On a unit in a retail park they are visible from the car park.
- Seasonal window graphics→A large graphic on film that comes off without residue. For 5–15 m², printed vinyl is approx. €8 net per m², so a change of season is not a big expense.

2. Sales floor
A sports shop floor is large and high, and customers look for a specific department: running shoes, football, outdoor. Large graphics on the walls above the shelving show the department from a distance. By the aisles and tills stand bins of small items that sell themselves.
- SEG frames with graphics above departments→100 × 230 cm module from approx. €160 net, replacement graphic alone from approx. €65. Fabric doesn’t reflect light, and swapping takes a few minutes.
- Hook displays for accessories→Tape, socks, shin pads, energy gels on a printed board with hooks. Placed by the till or the footwear department.
- Dump bins for balls and sale items→Fully printed, foldable corrugated card. UV-printed corrugated board approx. €13–21 net per m². For a sale season nothing is simpler.
- Floor graphics: running zone, path to a department→A running track printed on the floor by the running shoes, or arrows to the sale. Film with R10 anti-slip laminate, approx. €19–30 net per m².
- Security gate wraps→Security gates stand in the best spot in the shop and are usually grey. A wrap with the season’s campaign turns them into advertising right at the entrance.
3. Prices and promotions
In a sports shop there is a markdown every few weeks. Wobblers and shelf stoppers draw attention to a specific product on the shelf, while a seasonal graphic in a frame switches the customer to a new category.
- Wobblers and shelf stoppers: ‘offer’, ‘new’, ‘-30%’→Cut from HIPS and clipped to the shelf. Order a stock of generic ones without dates, and a separate series for the sale.
- Changeable graphics for each season→A set of fabrics for the frames: winter, spring, summer, back to school. Store them rolled up and hang the right ones each season.

4. Clubs, schools and teams
A junior team coach buys a full set of kit and then looks for someone to add numbers and the badge. A shop that takes the whole order sells more and wins customers from the competition. We can print for you, with no logo of ours on the parcel.
- Shirt printing: badge, number, name→An A4 transfer print costs approx. €3.30 net each for 20–49 pcs and approx. €2.35 net for 50–99 pcs. A typical team falls into the first band.
- Boot bags and bags with the club logo→Cotton or polyester, with the club badge printed. A cotton bag with one-colour print from approx. €2.10 net each for 100 pcs; boot bags are priced by design.
- Bottles with the club or shop logo→750 ml printed bottle from approx. €3.05 net each for 100 pcs. For a team for the season or as a free gift above a spend threshold.
- Gazebo for tournaments and races→The shop’s stand at a local tournament: sales, servicing, prizes. A 3 × 3 m gazebo with full print from approx. €750 net.
5. Chains and retail park stores
With many stores, the problem is logistics, not printing. Every outlet has different window sizes and a different number of frames, so we prepare a list of items for each store, print to one colour master and pack separately, with a note of what goes where.
- Campaign kits packed per store→Frame graphics, window film, wobblers and gate wraps in one parcel. Packing approx. €3.30 net, shipping approx. €2.80 net per store.
- Campaign installation at night or before opening→The crew changes the graphics after closing, and in the morning the shop opens with the new campaign. Night installation from approx. €65 net per hour.
- Identical floor graphics across the chain→The same path and zones in every store, trimmed to the floor layout. We contour-cut the film and pack it on a roll for each outlet.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Buy the frames once and order graphics each season. Over a year that is far cheaper than new posters, banners and light boxes every few months.
- Order frame graphics in advance: for winter in September, for spring in January. Then the change of season takes one evening.
- Only film with anti-slip laminate goes on the floor. An ordinary sticker on the tiles by the entrance on a rainy day is asking for an accident.
- Take club print orders with a list: size, number, name. A spreadsheet saves corrections and complaints.
- Make gate wraps from material that comes off cleanly, such as repositionable film or fabric. Campaigns change more often than gates.
