How an SEG frame works
The construction is simple. The frame is an aluminium profile with a narrow groove running all the way round. The graphic is printed polyester fabric with a thin, flexible silicone strip sewn to its edge. To fit it, you push the strip into the groove with your fingers, starting at the corners, then the sides. The fabric tensions evenly across the whole surface and looks like a smooth, matt picture with no frame visible at the front.
Frames come in two versions:
- non-illuminated: a slim profile, single- or double-sided graphic; for display walls, stand builds, shop and office interiors,
- LED backlit: a deeper profile with LEDs inside and a backlit fabric graphic that diffuses the light evenly, with no visible LED hot spots.
Modules bolt together with connectors, so a few frames make a wall, a corner, a storeroom with a door or a freestanding island.
Why SEG is replacing walls and banners
For several years now, on stands and in shop fit-outs, we have increasingly been making SEG frames instead of banners on frames and boards with stickers. The reasons are very practical:
- Graphic changes without structure costs. The frame stays for years; only the fabric changes. For seasonal campaigns in shops, that is a huge difference.
- Transport. Fabric folds into a box or envelope and goes by courier. PVC boards or banners have to travel on rolls or pallets.
- Appearance. No glare, no eyelets or cords, no visible joins. In photos and videos the graphic does not shine.
- Modularity. The same frames can be arranged differently at each show to suit a new stand shape.
- Colour. Printing on fabric gives deep, saturated colours, and when backlit the effect is even across the whole surface.

SEG frame and graphic prices
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| SEG frame module 100 × 230 cm with fabric graphic | from approx. €160 |
| Replacement graphic for a 100 × 230 cm module | from approx. €65 |
| SEG graphic 220 g with silicone edge, UV print | approx. €16–27 / m² |
| SEG graphic 220 g with silicone edge, dye sublimation | approx. €18–30 / m² |
| Light box with SEG fabric face, LED backlit | from approx. €300 / m² |
| Ultra-slim LED light box, A1 format | from approx. €165 |
| Ultra-slim LED light box 100 × 200 cm | from approx. €440 |
Graphic prices per m² fall with quantity: the lower end of the range applies to orders from about 100 m², the upper end to small sizes up to 4 m². Example: the graphic for one 100 × 230 cm module is 2.3 m² × approx. €27 = approx. €62, hence the price from approx. €65. A wall of five modules is 5 × €160 = approx. €800 net with graphics, and for the next campaign 5 × €65 = approx. €325 for new fabrics.
UV print or dye sublimation for SEG graphics
We make SEG graphics in two techniques, and each makes sense in different situations.
UV print on fabric is cheaper and faster. Colours are vivid and the fabric needs no extra fixing. It is a good choice for non-illuminated frames, shorter campaigns and most trade show stands.
Dye sublimation gives the softest hand and the deepest colours, and the dye penetrates the fibre, so the graphic copes better with repeated folding and washing. We recommend it for premium backlit frames and long-term displays where the graphic will hang for months.
If you are not sure which to choose, tell us where the frame will stand and how often the graphic will change. We will match the technique to the situation, not to the highest price.

Where SEG frames work best
- Trade show stands: modular builds, walls, storerooms. More on costs in how much does an exhibition stand cost.
- Shops and retail chains: changeable seasonal graphics, shop-in-shop zones. For multiple outlets we ship just the fabrics, and staff change them on site.
- Offices, receptions, hotels: large photos and logos on walls, often on acoustic fabric that improves the acoustics at the same time.
- Showrooms: backlit frames as the main feature. Ready-made ultra-slim light boxes with changeable graphics are also available in our shop at shop.ledmesee.com.
- Galleries and exhibitions: double-sided frames as partitions and freestanding boards.
How to prepare a file for an SEG frame
A few things we ask about with every order:
- Visible size and total size. Part of the graphic disappears into the groove of the frame. We always provide a template with the exact file size for the specific profile.
- Safe margin. Text and logos at least a few centimetres from the edge, so nothing disappears into the fold.
- Resolution. For large frames seen from a few metres, about 100 dpi at 1:1 is enough. Product photos viewed close up need more.
- Colours when backlit. On LED frames colours look brighter than on an ordinary print. For brand colours it is worth doing a test print on the actual material.
