A fit-out company sells trust. The customer lets a crew into their home for several weeks and hands over the keys, so before they ring they want to see what other jobs looked like and hear about you from someone they know. The best advert is a well-done bathroom next door. Our job is to make sure that neighbour knows who did it and has your number.
In practice there are three moments. First: someone sees your van outside the block or a banner on the balcony. Second: they get a business card or a portfolio of your work and compare you with others. Third: once the job is finished, they recommend you on. For each of those moments there is a specific, inexpensive piece of print. Most of it you order once a year or less.
1. Van and trailer
The van stands outside the entrance or the house for the whole job – several weeks in the same spot. It is the longest-running advert you have. On the sides say what you do (renovations, turnkey bathrooms, fit-outs), your phone number and name. For vehicles we recommend cast vinyl with laminate – it stands up to the car wash, dust and winter.
- Van and light commercial vehicle livery→Cast vinyl with UV print is approx. €19–29 net per m², polymeric laminate approx. €8 net per m². Quoted by vehicle model and design.
- Magnetic signs for private and subcontractors’ cars→The tiler or electrician who drives their own car can carry your logo too. Magnetic sheet is approx. €21–32 net per m².

2. On the job
A facade renovation, scaffolding on a townhouse, a detached house being fitted out – the whole street sees them. A banner with your logo and phone number, with the client’s consent, works for you for the whole job. In blocks of flats there are the neighbours to think of: a notice on the entrance door with the dates of the work and the site manager’s contact calms people down, and doubles as your advert in a building where several flats are usually done one after another.
- Banner for the fence or balcony→A 3 × 1 m banner in 510 g coated PVC is 3 m² × approx. €13, so approx. €40 net. It moves from site to site for several seasons.
- Mesh banner on scaffolding during facade work→It lets the wind through, so it doesn’t tug at the scaffold. Reinforced 370 g mesh with pole pockets is approx. €10–17 net per m².
- Works notice for the entrance door→An A3 or A2 poster with the dates of the work, working hours and a phone number. The neighbour planning their own renovation has your number straight away.
3. Before the customer calls: portfolio and quotes
Customers usually compare two or three firms. The one that wins is often the one that shows photos of similar jobs and brings the quote in a proper folder rather than on a sheet torn from a notebook. A before-and-after portfolio is the strongest sales tool in this trade – photos say more than a list of services.
- Before-and-after portfolio→Saddle-stitched A4 catalogue, 16 pages, 100 copies approx. €220 net. Bathrooms, kitchens, loft conversions – each job on its own spread.
- Folder for the quote and contract→A4 folder with matt lamination: 100 pcs approx. €135 net. A quote handed over in a folder looks more serious and doesn’t get lost in a drawer.
- Business cards for the boss and crew leaders→500 double-sided cards approx. €15 net. Leave two – the customer will pass one on.
- Leaflets for new housing developments→People collecting the keys to shell-finish flats look for a fit-out crew straight away. DL leaflet, 1,000 pcs, approx. €90 net.

4. The crew
People in matching branded T-shirts look like a company rather than a random group. A customer leaving a crew in their home is more willing to trust one that looks tidy. Workwear wears out fast, so order it per season in smaller batches.
- Branded T-shirts→A4 print is approx. €2.35 net each for 50–99 pcs and approx. €1.90 net from 100 pcs.
- Sweatshirts and beanies for colder months→Print on a sweatshirt from approx. €4 net, on a beanie approx. €2.60 net (from 25 pcs).
5. When you fit out commercial premises
When fitting out an office, a clinic or a restaurant, sooner or later the client asks about a wall graphic, window film or soundproofing a room. You can order these from us and give the client one quote together with the building work. We print to size, with a trimming allowance, in materials suitable for public premises.
- Made-to-measure wall murals and wallpaper→Non-woven mural certified B-s1,d0 is approx. €15–25 net per m², washable vinyl approx. €18–29 net per m². Paste and hanging by you or by us.
- Frosted film for glazing→Consulting rooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms with glass partitions. Frosted film approx. €12–21 net per m².
- Wall graphics and lettering→The client’s logo on the reception wall, cut vinyl lettering, decorative stickers. Printed wall vinyl approx. €6–12 net per m².
- Printed acoustic panels→For halls, open-plan offices and noisy restaurants. Acoustic fabric with UV print approx. €19–30 net per m².

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Take portfolio photos in daylight, from the same spot “before” and “after”. A comparison from different angles doesn’t convince anyone.
- Don’t list ten services on a banner. “Renovations and fit-outs” plus a phone number is enough – nobody reads small print from the street anyway.
- For mesh fencing and see-through fences, use a blockout banner or mesh. An ordinary banner shows through against the sun and the graphic becomes unreadable.
- Take the banner down when the job is finished. Left up for six months after, faded and sagging, it advertises you badly.
- For a client’s custom mural, measure the wall after the plastering is levelled, not before. A few centimetres’ difference is a common cause of complaints.
