Nobody buys furniture on impulse. Customers tour several showrooms, sit on the sofa, open the drawers, come back with their partner. They often travel some distance, because furniture showrooms sit on arterial roads and in retail parks. So from the outside the showroom must be visible from the road and recognisable when the customer returns a week later. Inside, the room sets decide: the same corner sofa sells quite differently against a bare wall and against a mural of a window onto a garden.
The second thing is information at the piece itself. Customers want to know the price, the colours available and the lead time without hunting for a salesperson. A proper product card on every item shortens the conversation and lets you serve more people on a Saturday, when the showroom is full.
1. Facade and road
A furniture showroom usually has a large, flat facade and stands next to a fast road. Ideal conditions for big letters and a mesh banner showing an interior. Mesh lets the wind through, so on a high wall it works better than a solid banner.
- Illuminated letters on the building→Showroom name visible from the road and the car park, including winter evenings when you are still open.
- Pylon at the entrance→In a retail park with several shops a roadside pylon tells drivers where to turn. Visible from both directions.
- Facade mesh banner with an interior shot→A large-format photo of a living room or kitchen on the building wall. From the road people see what you sell before they read the name.
- Car park flags→Ex-display sale, open days, new collection. Feather flags are easy to move and pack away after the event.

2. Room sets and display
A good room set is a wall, a rug, a picture and light. Walls in a retail unit are usually white or bare cladding, so without a backdrop furniture looks like it's in a warehouse. We print murals and pictures to size and can change them any time a new collection arrives. In large units there is also echo – a printed acoustic panel solves it and decorates at the same time.
- Wall murals behind room sets→A window view, brick, concrete, a forest. Odour-free non-woven wallpaper, installed while the showroom is open.
- Canvas prints for displays→A picture over the sofa or bed completes the set. On a stretcher frame, in any size to suit the furniture.
- Printed rugs→A rug with your own pattern or logo under the table in the dining area. Few think of it, yet it ties the whole set together.
- Printed acoustic panels→In a unit with a concrete floor, a conversation at the designer's desk carries across the showroom. A panel dampens the echo and looks like a picture.
3. Information at the furniture
A product card at the piece works for the salesperson. It should be in the same style throughout the showroom, easy to change when the price changes and large enough to read from the sofa next to it.
- Product cards in acrylic holders→Name, dimensions, fabric options, price, lead time. You change the sheet in the holder in a second.
- 'Ex-display' and discount tags→A tag on the furniture with the price before and after discount. In plastic, because paper soon gets damaged.
- Department hangers→Kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, garden furniture. In a large unit customers see where to go from the entrance.

4. Sales and design
Kitchens and fitted furniture are sold on a design. The customer leaves with drawings and a quote, then compares them at home with the competition. A branded folder makes your offer look serious on the customer's kitchen table too.
- Folders for designs and quotes→A branded A4 folder in which the customer takes home the kitchen design and quote. They often bring it back to sign the contract.
- Collection catalogue→Your own catalogue with the furniture on display and the options available. Customers browse it at home in peace.
5. Delivery and shipping
The delivery van with the furniture pulls up outside the customer's house and stays there for an hour or two. The neighbours are watching. It's worth having the showroom name and phone number on it.
- Delivery van livery→Logo, phone, a room-set photo on the side of the van. Cast vinyl with laminate, removable when the vehicle goes back to the leasing company.
- Branded packing tape→For furniture sent by courier and online orders. A parcel with the showroom name reaches the customer and their neighbours.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- On a high building wall use mesh rather than a solid banner. In the wind a solid banner acts like a sail. Comparison in [mesh or banner](/poradnik/siatka-mesh-czy-baner).
- Order room-set murals for a specific display, with the wall size minus skirting and sockets. We match the design to the furniture at the artwork stage.
- Make product cards from one template for the whole showroom. Staff change the price in the file and print the card rather than designing it from scratch.
- Photos for a facade mesh need high resolution. A phone photo stretched to 24 m² will come out soft – ask us before you book the shoot.
- A large sign on a facade may need consent, and some local authorities have strict rules on outdoor advertising. Check before ordering – we cover the basics in [advertising on a building facade](/poradnik/reklama-na-elewacji-budynku).
