A university is several clients in one. The marketing office handles recruitment and image, estates handle building signage, faculties organise conferences, and researchers need a poster for a session tomorrow morning. Each has a different deadline and funding source, often a project that later has to be accounted for with a plaque or information poster.
On campus the biggest problem is finding your way. A fresher, an applicant at an open day or a conference guest doesn't know where Building C is or the lecture theatre named after someone or other. A wayfinding system (consistent totems, maps, entrance signs and floor signage) saves everyone stress. We do it from survey through design to installation, including at height from a cherry picker up to 18 m.
1. Campus and buildings
We plan campus signage from the entrance: gate, car park, buildings, entrances, and only then floors and rooms. One typeface and one information layout across the campus matter more than a single eye-catching element.
- Campus map totem→At the entrance and along main pedestrian routes. Dibond on a steel frame, 2.5 m high from approx. €750 net; the map can be replaced later.
- Wayfinding system→Signs for buildings, entrances, floors, rooms and lecture theatres to one design. We start with a survey, from approx. €85 net per building.
- Name letters on the facade→The university or faculty name, front-lit from approx. €46 net per character or halo-lit from approx. €55 net per character.

2. Recruitment
A recruitment campaign means several months of intense visibility in the city and region. What works best is a large format on the university building combined with billboard and citylight posters in the towns applicants come from.
- Facade mesh→A large format on a building facing the main road. Reinforced 370 g mesh at 50 m² costs approx. €10 net per m²; the perforation reduces wind load.
- Billboard and citylight posters→Blueback paper for billboards, whiteback for citylights. We print one run and ship to outdoor media companies in different cities.
- Roll-ups for schools and open days→A set of faculty roll-ups that tour secondary schools. A 100 × 200 cm roll-up from approx. €65 net.
3. Education fairs
At a fair the university stands next to dozens of others. What counts is a clear name high above people's heads and a place where applicants can come up and talk. How to prepare for a fair is covered in a [separate guide](/poradnik/przygotowanie-do-targow-lista).
- Stand with counter and backdrop→Promotional counter from approx. €210 net, 300 × 230 cm pop-up wall from approx. €400 net. The structure stays; you change the graphics each year.

4. Conferences, inaugurations, galas
An academic conference has its fixed elements: a backdrop for photos and interviews, badges, posters for the poster session. Urgent academic posters can be printed even in 24 hours if the file arrives by noon.
- Backdrop for photos and talks→A fabric wall doesn't reflect camera lights. A 300 × 230 cm pop-up from approx. €400 net; order new graphics for the next edition.
- Badges and lanyards for delegates→Personalised from the delegate list. 100 badges 90 × 50 mm cost approx. €60 net; conference-branded lanyards via printstrap.com.
- Academic posters for poster sessions→A1 and A0 on satin paper or on fabric that folds into a suitcase. We check the file before printing, included in the price.
5. For students, researchers and the university press
Around a university something is always being printed or made: monographs, student society materials, project prototypes, hoodies for freshers' week. Some of it we do for faculties, some directly for societies and the students' union.
- Monographs and publications→An A5 hardback book, 164 pages, 100 copies costs approx. €700 net. Short runs for the university press and departments.
- University-branded hoodies and T-shirts→For the students' union, societies, university sports teams. Hoodie print from 20 pcs; an A4 T-shirt print at 100+ pcs approx. €1.90 net per item.
- 3D printing of prototypes and models→For student and research projects: a model from an STL file on FDM printers, including large-format ones. Quoted from your file, see [3D printing from your own model](/produkty/druk-3d-z-wlasnego-modelu).
- Plaques for research and capital projects→Labs and buildings funded by the EU require plaques or posters. Dibond 200 × 100 cm on a frame from approx. €165 net.
- Lab and workshop door signs→As part of the wayfinding system: room number, department name, changeable names. A new head of department doesn't need a new sign.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Order the recruitment campaign well ahead – facade mesh needs a cherry picker and good weather, and posters must reach the outdoor companies before the posting date.
- In the wayfinding system, put faculty and department names on changeable elements. University structures change more often than buildings.
- Prepare an academic poster at the final size with fonts converted to outlines. A file from presentation software enlarged to A0 often loses sharpness.
- For conferences with several editions, buy the backdrop frames once and order only new graphics each year. A graphic for a 300 × 230 cm straight wall starts from approx. €190 net.
- For orders funded by research projects, give us the project number and any required invoice description up front.
