Motorcycle sales have a clear rhythm. March and April are the peak: people get their bikes out of the garage and come in for a new one, a helmet or a service. In winter the dealership lives on servicing, storage and riding gear. Advertising should follow the same rhythm: loud by the road in spring, at rallies in summer, inside the showroom and with regular customers in autumn and winter.
Bikers are a community where atmosphere and belonging count. They buy from people they know from meets, wear the T-shirt of ‘their’ dealer and carry its sticker on the top box. So besides the fascia and windows it pays to have things that leave the showroom with the customer. If you represent a particular brand, stick to its guidelines: we print and install from the files and brand manual you supply.
1. Building front and the road
A motorcycle dealership often sits on an arterial road or in a unit with a large forecourt. Customers drive or ride past, so the sign has to be readable from several dozen metres and at night. In spring we add flags and a banner by the road: a moving flag catches the eye better than the nicest lettering.
- Illuminated letters or a light box with the dealership name→Front-lit letters from approx. €46 net per character, halo-lit from approx. €55. On a wide unit frontage, letters look better than a long box.
- Flags and feather flags at the entrance→A medium feather flag 70 × 340 cm with pole from approx. €75 net. Put them out for the season, store them in winter, replace the flag every year or two.
- Banner for the start of the season and open days→‘New 2027 models’, ‘Pre-season service’, ‘Test rides on Saturday’. Coated PVC banner on the fence or the building, approx. €7–13 net per m².

2. Windows and entrance
A showroom window should show the bikes, not hide them. So instead of covering it completely we suggest a band at eye level, a logo and opening hours in vinyl, and full graphics only on narrow glazed panels. A seasonal slogan on clear film comes off without a trace.
- Window graphics: logo, brands, opening hours→Cut vinyl lettering or a printed band. Printed monomeric vinyl is approx. €6–12 net per m², so a few square metres stay well within a modest budget.
- A-board at the entrance with the current offer→Snap frame, poster changed every month. Works well with workshop messages: tyre changes, winter storage.
3. Showroom and workshop
Inside, the bike is the star, but bare white walls do nothing for it. A large wall graphic with a road, mountains or a race track creates a backdrop for photos and for the buying decision. A clear card with specs and price next to each machine helps too. Mark the service and collection areas so a customer with a helmet in hand doesn’t wander around the showroom.
- Wall graphic or mural in the showroom→Vinyl wallpaper is washable and copes with workshop dust. Approx. €18–29 net per m², printed without joins up to 3.2 m wide.
- Model cards with specs and price next to the bikes→Printed acrylic on a stand or hung from the handlebars. Prices change, so we design them so that only the insert needs replacing.
- Ultra-slim light box with changeable graphics→A thin LED frame on the wall behind the counter: new model, clothing offer, finance. Change the graphic in a minute, the frame stays.
- Area signs: service, collection, clothing, parts→UV-printed Dibond or PVC signs in the dealership colours. Simple, and they keep customer traffic in order.

4. Rallies, test rides and season opening
This is where bikers get to know a dealership. A stand at a rally should go up in half an hour with two people and survive the wind. A gazebo, roll-up banners for photos with the new model and some flags are enough; the rest is people and machines.
- Printed gazebo for rallies and test rides→A 3 × 3 m gazebo with full print from approx. €750 net. It protects the bikes from sun and rain and is visible from the other end of the field.
- Roll-up banners for photos with the new model→Two roll-ups either side of a bike make a branded photo backdrop. A 100 × 200 cm roll-up from approx. €65 net, fits in a car boot.
5. What customers take home
Keys to a new bike on a lanyard with the dealership logo, a sticker for the top box, a T-shirt for the rally. These small items cost little and ride around the area for years. In winter a motorcycle calendar hangs in the garage and reminds the owner about the service.
- Key lanyards with logo→A printed lanyard handed over with every motorcycle and scooter. Priced by quantity.
- Dealership stickers for top boxes and helmets→Contour-cut on polymeric vinyl that withstands rain and the jet wash. Customers really do stick them on.
- T-shirts and hoodies for rallies→For the team and regular customers. An A4 transfer print from 100 pcs is approx. €1.90 net per T-shirt, plus the cost of the garment.
- Wall calendar with motorcycles→Photos from your meets and handovers, service dates, workshop phone number. Order in September, hand out when bikes come out of winter storage.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- Order your season materials in January and February. In March everyone wants banners and flags yesterday, and you have your hands full in the showroom.
- Don’t cover the whole window. A motorcycle behind the glass sells better than a photo of it on vinyl.
- If you are an authorised dealer, ask the importer for guidelines and files. We print to the brand manual, but you need the brand colours and layout in writing.
- Take weighted plate bases for the flags and weights for the gazebo to a rally. On an open field the wind knocks over a badly placed feather flag within minutes.
- Use the showroom in winter: posters about storage, pre-season servicing and riding gear. That is when customers have time to read.
