Nobody goes to a psychologist 'while passing'. The client has booked in advance and knows the address, but often doesn't know which entrance or which floor. They're usually nervous and don't want to stand outside the neighbours' door or ask the way. So signage here must above all be discreet and unambiguous: a small, well-made plaque rather than a big light box, a clear unit number, one arrow in the right place.
Inside, a sense of safety is what counts. Windows nobody can look through. Walls through which conversation can't be heard from the waiting room. Calm pictures instead of random posters. Psychology is a regulated profession in many countries, and psychotherapists follow their associations' codes of ethics, so printed materials should inform (who practises, in what areas, how to book) without promises or slogans. The content is yours; we take care of form and finish.
1. Approach and entrance
Clients feel most stress before their first visit, while looking for the entrance. Walk that route yourself, from the street to the door, and note every point where a stranger might hesitate.
- Plaque at the building entrance→Printed acrylic on stand-offs or dibond, with the practice name and unit number. 40 × 30 cm comes to approx. €19 net.
- Unit number by the intercom and on the door→A clear digit, readable even in the evening in a dimly lit stairwell. UV-printed dibond approx. €35–55 net per m².
- Directional sign in the stairwell or corridor→In an office building or a period block with a rear wing, one arrow saves the client wandering between floors.
- Opening hours on the door→Cut vinyl lettering without a background looks calm and elegant. When the hours change, you replace just one strip.

2. Consulting room
The consulting room should be quiet and screened. It's good to sit in the client's chair and look around: what's visible through the window, what can be heard through the wall, where the eye comes to rest.
- Frosted window film→Especially on the ground floor and in windows facing other buildings. Lets light through, but nobody can see in. Approx. €12–21 net per m².
- Printed acoustic panels→They dampen echo in a sparse room and make conversation more comfortable. They won't replace insulation between rooms, but combined with sealed doors they make a difference. Printed fabric approx. €19–30 net per m².
- Canvas prints→A calm nature photograph instead of random decoration. Canvas print approx. €15–24 net per m² plus stretcher frame approx. €27 net per m².
- 'Session in progress' sign→With a sliding strip or double-sided: free / session in progress, please don't knock. Nobody walks in mid-conversation.
3. Waiting room
Even a small waiting room sets the mood before a session. One wall with a mural and clear information on the wall are enough.
- Nature wall mural→Forest, water, a meadow. B-s1,d0 non-woven, odour-free after hanging, approx. €15–25 net per m².
- Wall graphics in a children's therapy room→Animals, trees, a height chart. Vinyl wall stickers approx. €6–12 net per m², easy to remove when the room is redecorated.
- Practical information poster→Cancellation policy, payment methods, crisis helpline numbers. Ten A2 posters cost approx. €28 net.

4. Print for clients
After the first session clients want something in hand: when the next appointment is, how to get in touch, what therapy involves. Simple, calm print builds trust more than colourful slogans.
- Appointment cards→On the back, fields for the date and time of the next session. 500 cards 90 × 50 mm approx. €15 net.
- Letterheads→For reports, certificates and correspondence. 500 printed A4 sheets approx. €49 net.
- Leaflet on the help you offer→Who practises, what people can come with, what the first session looks like. An A5 folder in a run of 1,000 approx. €90 net.
5. Workshops and talks
Many psychologists run sessions in schools, workplaces and community centres. In the room, one good element with the presenter's name and materials for participants are useful.
- Roll-up for off-site sessions→Fits in a car boot, sets up in a minute. An 85 × 200 cm roll-up from approx. €55 net.
- Notepads for participants→For exercises and notes during workshops. A5 notepad with a cover, 50 sheets, 100 pcs approx. €135 net.

From our experience — what to watch out for
- The entrance plaque should be visible but not loud. Matt acrylic or dibond in muted colours suits a period building and doesn't draw the neighbours' attention.
- Check what can be seen from the street when the consulting room light is on. In the evening, a window without film shows everything.
- If a shared waiting room adjoins the consulting room, put acoustic panels on both sides of the wall and don't forget the door – that's where most sound escapes.
- On the business card, give a way of booking that actually works. If you don't answer the phone during sessions, say when you call back.
- With several therapists in one practice, put names on changeable strips. The team changes more often than the decor.
