3D Scanning

A 3D scan brings an existing object into the computer, where it can be refined, rescaled and produced again. We scan objects, work up the model in our studio, and print it in 3D or mill it straight away — no need to find several different suppliers.

Production options

Scan and print-ready model

We scan the object and prepare a watertight model, then print a copy or enlargement straight away.

Part reproduction

Based on the scan, we reproduce a damaged or unavailable part and make it in the chosen material.

Visualisation model

A simplified model of a product or object for renders, presentations and mock-ups.

03

How we work

  1. Photos and dimensions of the object, and the scan's purpose: a copy, enlargement, reproduction or visualisation.
  2. Scanning and an initial model preview.
  3. Studio processing of the model: mesh repair, scaling, preparation for production.
  4. Handing over the file, or producing the copy in 3D or on a CNC machine and shipping it.
04

Indicative price

Scanning price depends on the object's size and complexity, the accuracy required and the scope of model processing. The scan itself is quoted from photos. Indicative rates for the work that usually follows:

3D modelling and model preparation
approx. PLN 190 net/hour
3D printing from the model — standard printer
approx. PLN 59 net/hour
Large-format 3D printing
approx. PLN 110 net/hour

Rates shown are net and indicative, excluding shipping of the object and finished copies. We give the scanning and further production price after seeing photos and dimensions of the object.

FAQ · 3D scanning

Frequently asked questions

Can you scan a glossy or transparent object?

Such surfaces are difficult to scan. They're usually coated with a thin, washable matting spray — we always agree this with the object's owner beforehand.

Will I get the scan file?

Yes. We hand over the model in an agreed format, and if you'd like, we can produce a copy from it straight away.

Can an object be scanned and enlarged?

Yes. We scale the model to the needed size, and make large forms on large-format printers or out of foam.

Does the object need to come to Wieluń?

Smaller items are best delivered or shipped to us. For scanning larger objects on site, we discuss it individually.

Can you meet a fixed date?

Usually, yes. Our standard lead time is about 3 working days, and express printing in 24 hours is possible. As the manufacturer we plan production ourselves, so we can schedule your job around your deadline. Add the date to your brief and we will confirm it before work starts.
