Prototypes and Mock-Ups

A prototype lets you test an idea in your hand before committing it to costly production, and a mock-up shows a customer something that doesn't exist yet. We combine 3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting and foam cutting, and finish the models in our own workshop — all under one roof.

Production options

Functional prototype

Used to check dimensions, fit and operation. Accuracy matters, not appearance.

Visual prototype

Looks like the finished product: painted, printed or covered. For presentations, photos and customer testing.

Exhibition mock-up

A scale model of a building, stand or product. We combine different technologies and materials in it.

03

How we work

  1. A description of the model's purpose, files or a sketch, dimensions and the presentation deadline.
  2. Choosing the technology, preparing the 3D model and a quote.
  3. Producing the elements, assembling and finishing in the workshop.
  4. Collection or shipping, and for prototypes — revisions and a next version.
04

Indicative price

A prototype or mock-up is always individual work — price depends on size, technology and finishing. Indicative labour rates:

3D modelling for printing or routing
approx. PLN 190 net / hour
3D printing — machine time, standard printer
approx. PLN 59 net / hour
3D / solid foam cutting
approx. PLN 234 net / hour
Sanding, priming, painting
approx. PLN 143 net / hour
A3 test print on the final material
approx. PLN 55 net / pc.

Figures are net and indicative, excluding materials and shipping. We give an exact price after a brief and the files.

Deadline? We fit the job around it.

Our standard lead time is about 3 working days, and up to 14 days for larger projects. That is only a starting point. We are the manufacturer, not a broker — we plan our own production queue, so we can move your job forward to meet an opening, event or campaign date.

  • approx. 3 daysstandard lead time
  • 24 hexpress printing — UV inks need no drying time
  • up to 14 dayslarge and non-standard projects with installation

FAQ · Prototypes and mock-ups

Frequently asked questions

Can you make a prototype from a sketch?

Yes. Based on a sketch and dimensions we prepare a 3D model in our studio, and produce it once approved.

How many prototype versions are usually needed?

One is often enough for simple elements. For displays and enclosures we usually do two or three iterations before the design goes into series.

Can a display prototype use the same material as the series?

Yes, and we recommend it. A prototype in the final material best shows the rigidity and look of the finished product.

Can a mock-up be large scale?

Yes. We build large forms from polystyrene foam or from 3D-printed and routed elements, joined and painted in the workshop.

Can you meet a fixed date?

Usually, yes. Our standard lead time is about 3 working days, and express printing in 24 hours is possible. As the manufacturer we plan production ourselves, so we can schedule your job around your deadline. Add the date to your brief and we will confirm it before work starts.
