Artwork that looks fine by day can turn pale or patchy once the backlight is switched on. We print backlit film with colour correction for LEDs and the right opacity, so the light box glows evenly and in true brand colours. We apply it to new faces or replace the artwork in existing light boxes.

Replacing the artwork only
We remove the old film from the face and apply a new one — the structure and LEDs stay in place.
Backlit banner instead of film
For large light boxes with a tensioned face, a banner is used instead of film.

FAQ · Backlit films
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't ordinary film work in a light box?
Ordinary white film is either too opaque or lets light through unevenly. Backlit film is designed for this and gives even brightness across the whole face.
Will the colours look the same at night as in the day?
Never exactly identical, since at one moment you're looking at reflected light and at another transmitted light. That's why we print with correction, to keep brand colours as close as possible in both conditions.
Can the artwork be replaced without taking the light box down?
Often yes. We remove the face on site, swap the film and refit it.
Can a photo be printed on backlit film?
Yes. Photos look very good when backlit, provided the file has a good resolution.
Can you meet a fixed date?
Usually, yes. Our standard lead time is about 3 working days, and express printing in 24 hours is possible. As the manufacturer we plan production ourselves, so we can schedule your job around your deadline. Add the date to your brief and we will confirm it before work starts.
