A projecting (blade) sign is a light box hung at right angles to the wall — visible from the pavement in both directions, even when a sign above the entrance drops out of view. It works well on narrow streets, arcades and in old town buildings. We make the light box, the bracket and handle the facade installation.
rectangular, square, round or shaped to match the logo
Faces
milky acrylic with translucent vinyl, or UV-printed, on both sides
Housing
aluminium or sheet metal, powder-coated in a RAL colour
Bracket
steel, sized to the sign's weight and the type of wall, fixed with anchors
Illumination
outdoor-rated LED modules and power supply, with an optional timer or dusk sensor

Production options
Rectangular projecting sign
The most space for a logo and name. A good choice when the brand mark is horizontal.
Round projecting sign
A classic shape for pharmacies, cafes and brands with a round logo. Looks good on period facades.
Projecting sign with a routed face
A metal face with the logo cut out — only the mark lights up, while the rest stays in the housing colour.
Non-illuminated projecting sign
A Dibond panel on a bracket. Cheaper, and works well where the street is already well lit.

How we work
A photo of the facade, the mounting height, and your logo in vector format.
A visualisation on the building photo and a bracket matched to the type of wall.
Production of the housing and both faces, LED installation and a lighting test.
Installation on the facade, using a lift if needed, and switch-on — the electrical connection is done by our certified crew or your electrician.

FAQ · Double-sided projecting signs
Frequently asked questions
At what height is a projecting sign mounted?
High enough not to obstruct pedestrians or interfere with traffic. The requirements come from local regulations and agreement with the building manager — we check these before production.
Do I need consent for a projecting sign?
You usually need consent from the owner or the residents' association, and in many towns it must comply with local signage rules. In a heritage-protected zone you'll also need conservation officer approval — we help with that and with preparing the application.
Can the two sides of the sign be different?
Yes. We print or apply vinyl to each face separately, so the two sides can show, for example, a different language or a different message.
Will the sign withstand strong wind?
We size the bracket and anchors to the sign's weight and area, and to the type of wall. On insulated walls we use fixings that reach the structural layer behind the insulation.
Can you meet a fixed date?
Usually, yes. Our standard lead time is about 3 working days, and express printing in 24 hours is possible. As the manufacturer we plan production ourselves, so we can schedule your job around your deadline. Add the date to your brief and we will confirm it before work starts.
